Office formerly house. c.1790 with some alterations of c1880.
Stock brick in flemish bond with stone coping and hipped roof
now covered in C20 pantiles. Main part to right is of three
storeys and basement with 3 windows. 12-pane sashes in reveals
to upper floors. Ground floor has large late C19 7-bay mullioned
and transomed square bay panelling below on brackets. To the
left is a 2 storey portion. 1st floor has 12-pane sash. Ground
floor has late C19 mullioned and transomed window and right side
original round-headed doorcase with keystone, fanlight and late
C19 open pediment on brackets. Flight of stone steps and C20
railings. Rear elevation has 12-pane sashes and 1st floor 3
light canted bay with glazing bars. Left side elevation renewed
in C20 brickwork. INTERIOR: has fine staircase with mahogany
handrail, stick balusters and column newel posts and panelled
dado with pilasters. Left side ground floor room has round-
headed doorcase and plumed cornice. Main ground floor reception
room has cornice with variation of triglyph and paterea
decoration and main 1st floor reception room has cornice with
architraves, palmettes and plumes. Cambered work to 1st floor
stair case hall and ovolo moulded frieze to top floor of stair
case.
