House, formerly part of nursing home, now house. C15 or C16
altered 1890. Rendered facade to.timber-framed core with plain
tile roof. 2 storeys, roof hipped with gablet at right end
and at left end continuous with No. 19 Roseacre Lane. Large
central brick stack. Small gabled. central dormer. 2 large
projecting 2-storey gabled bays said to have been built in
1890, one at left end and one towards right end of front
elevation, with carved bargeboards. Each bay has one large
3-light casement on first floor and large 4-light French doors
on ground floor. Small lean-to at right end with window of
2 pointed arched lights in rectangular architrave. Central half-
glazed door under plain-tiled lean-to roof. Interior: 2, possi-
bly 3 timber-framed bays, with another now in No. 19 Roseacre
Lane. Timber-framed partition at left end containing plain
crown post with two downward braces. Traces of other beams
and wall plates. See also under No. 19 Roseacre Lane.
