House. Late C16 or early C17. Timber framed with painted brick
nogging and plain tile roof. 2 storeys, with continuous jetty.
First floor has widely-spaced studding with one arch brace
towards left end. Roof hipped to left. Large stack with some
flint to base, projecting from rear wall towards left end. 4
timber-framed bays, the right end bay having been built or
rebuilt later. Irregular fenestration of 2 three-light
casements. Wooden cills for 2 original windows towards left
end. Half-glazed and panelled door to No. 44 towards left end
and ribbed door with glazed light to No. 42 to centre. 2 storey
rear wing with hipped roof.
