House. Early C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions.
Ground floor uncoursed chalk lump extending irregularly up
front, with brick in English bond above and plain tile roof.
L-plan. 2 storeys and attics. East front has range parallel
to road, left gable end rebuilt in brick in C19 with crow-
stepped gables. Cross-wing to right with largely C17 crow-
stepped gable to road. Projecting brick stack towards left end
of front elevation and projecting brick stack to right end
elevation. Irregular fenestration of one C19 single-light
casement to left section and 2 C19 2-light casements with
segmental heads to wing. C19 2-light attic casement to left
gable end and to wing. C19 brick porch with crow-stepped gable
to left gable end, with half-glazed double doors. C19 extension
to right, recessed from front, red brick in English bond,
2 storeys, with small wooden bell-cote, and half-glazed front door,
under lean-to canopy. Large late C19 or early C20 rear extension
to left with metal sundial dated 1665.
