FRINSTED NEW PURCHASE ROAD
TQ 85 NE (east side)

1/6 New Purchase Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably C15, refaced in late C17, and with C19 alterations.
Timber framed. Largely clad in late C17 red and grey brick in mixed
bond; upper courses renewed, and right end bay C19 gault brick.
Rear elevation C19 flint to ground floor, tile-hung above. Plain
tile roof. 2 storeys, with dentilled brick eaves cornice. Roof
hipped to left. Small multiple brick ridge stack towards left end
and truncated projecting rendered stack to right end. Irregular
fenestration of three 3-light C19 casements, ground-floor windows
with segmental heads. Boarded door beneath stack. Lean-to to left
and continuing part way along rear, integral with C17 work. Interior
not inspected, but said to have substantial beams and crown-post.
