FRINSTED TORRY HILL ROAD

House. C17 and late C18, with early-to mid C19 additions. C17
red brick in English bond to rear. Red brick in Flemish bond
to front. Plain tile roof. C17 range at right angles to road
with gabled cross-wing at right (north) end. North elevation
of wing late C18 brick, and further range built in angle, forming
double depth plain with C17 range is present entrance front.
Entrance front: 2 storeys on brick plinth with eaves cornice of
small modillions. Hipped roof, with wall-plate stopping short of
left end, left hip continuing down to lower wall-plate of rear return
wing. Stack towards right end. Slightly irregular 4-window front of
3 glazing-bar sashes, and one painted window at left end (with
similar window below it), all with rubbed brick voussoirs. Boarded
door under second window from left, in C20 canted brick porch.
Left return wing has dentilled eaves cornice and early C19 tripartite
sashes. Rear elevation: plat-band to main range, rising to
wing. Wing with further band to eaves. Interior not inspected.
