Farmhouse. C15. Timber-framed with plaster infilling and plain
tile roof. Wealden with hall of 2 unequal bays and one storeyed bay
at either end. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Right and left end
bays jettied to front with broadly spaced close-studding and large
tension braces. Hall has broad rail, possibly cill of hall window
few feet from base cill. Curved braces to flying wall-plate. Hipped
roof. Brick ridge stack off-centre to right (in smaller bay of
hall). Irregular fenestration of 5 windows with leaded lights;
2 single-light mullioned casements to left end bay, one 5-light ovolo-
moulded mullion window to left bay of hall, one 2-light mullion
window to right bay of hall, and one 4-light casement to
right end bay. Ribbed door under 4-centred arch with hollow
spandrels, to right end of hall. Lean-to to right. Interior not
inspected.
