4/202 Plough House
GV II

House, formerly Public House; now house. C15 or early C16. Timber
framed with painted brick front elevation. Left gable end red
brick in Flemish bond. Right gable end painted brick on ground
floor, weatherboarded above. Plain tile roof. One storey,
attic and cellar on plinth. Left end bay built up to 2 storeys in
C19 with projecting eaves of rest of building carried across it
to form pentice under first-floor window. Roof hipped, with gablet
to right. Multiple brick ridge stack off-centre to right and small
projecting stack at left end. 3-light attic casement in left end
bay and 3 hipped dormers to rest of range. Ground floor has
irregular fenestration of 5 windows; three 3-light and two 2-light
casements with segmental heads. Door to rear. Interior not
inspected.
