House, now house row. Early C16 with C19 addition. Right and
central sections timber-framed; ground floor of right end rendered.
Central section has partly exposed studding and red brick infilling.
C19 addition at left end stone with red brick dressings to
ground floor. Whole of first floor weatherboarded. Plain tile roof.
2 timber-framed bays (part of open hall) and C19 addition.
2 storeys on stone plinth. Jetty to right gable end. Brick
stack in front slope of roof, off-centre to left of timber-framed
building. Roof of timber-framed building hipped to right and hipped
down to C19 roof line to left. Irregular fenestration of five 2-
light casements; C19 addition double-fronted, 3 windows to main
range. Boarded door to centre of C19 addition. C20 glazed
door to No. 8 at right end of right gable end. C20 extension
to rear. Interior: No. 7 incorporates left timber-framed bay and
C19 addition, and has finely moulded inglenook bressumer with
long speared leaves in spandrels, and exposed timbers. Interior
No. 8 not inspected. Listed for group value.
