GV II

House. Circa 1600 with late 18th century or early 19th century
alterations, and additions of 1956 and 1970s. Timber framed. Ground
floor clad in red brick with occasional grey headers and possibly
partly rebuilt. First floor tile hung. Plain tile roof. Lobby
entry plan of 3 timber-framed bays. 2 storeys. Roof hipped with
gablets. Ridge stack towards left end. Irregular fenestration of
three 2-light casements. Blocked door beneath stack. Glazed 20th
century door in 20th century rear extension. Interior: Exposed
framing. Chamfer-stopped ground-floor beams. Gunstock-jowled posts.
Mortices for diamond mullion windows. Edge-halved scarf joint. Queen
strut roof. Inglenook fireplace. Said to have been Wood Reeve's
house to East Sutton Park estate.
