Mansion Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17 or earlier with later additions and late C18 or
early C19 facade. Timber framed, with tile-hanging to gable
ends and rear wings. Facade of dark red brick with lighter red
brick dressings, in header bond. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys
and attics, with moulded wood eaves cornice. Hipped roof.
Large rear stack towards left and smaller one towards right.
2 hipped dormers. Regular 3-window front of 12-pane glazing-bar
sashes in open boxes. Central recessed panelled door with 2 top
lights. Architrave with plain pilasters, frieze and dentilled
pediment. Rear return wing to left: irregular 6-window front
of 12-pane glazing-bar sashes in open boxes. Door to left of
centre. Further ranges to rear. Interior not inspected.
