Farmhouse. C16 or earlier, with additions and alterations of C18 and early C19.
Timber-framed. Weatherboarded, except left half of ground floor, which has been
rebuilt in painted brick. Narrow addition to right end of stone with brick
dressings to ground floor, red brick in Flemish bond to first floor. Plain tile
roof. 2 storeys and attic on brick plinth. Roof hipped to left. Gable to right
end forms large gablet above hip of lower roof of stone addition. Right hip
returns. Multiple brick ridge stack towards left end. Irregular fenestration of
4 leaded casements to weatherboarded section. Panelled door beneath stack, with
architrave of fluted pilasters, and broad flat bracketed hood. Right return wing:
stone ground floor, chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys,
with dentilled brick eaves cornice, hipped roof, and 3 small casement windows.
