House. formerly barn, now house row. Early C15, with alterations of 1980s.
Timber framed. Ground floor red brick in Flemish bond. Exposed framing
with rendered infilling to first floor. Plain tile roof. Wealden of 4
timber-framed bays. Front wall of hall bays moved out at later date, and
jetties of end bays underbuilt, to form flush facade. 2 storeys on brick
plinth. Broadly spaced studding, with tension braces to end bays. Left bay
of hall subdivided. Diagonal cross of 2 curved braces to right section of
left hall bay. Hipped C20 roof. Rear stack to left and ridge stack towards
right end. Irregular fenestration of four C20 diamond mullioned casement
windows. C20 ribbed door within early C15 durns to left end of hall. C20
ribbed door to right end of right hall bay. Lean-to to left. Interior not
inspected. (R.C.H.M. report 1982).
