GV II

House, formerly cottages, now house. C17 or earlier, with C19 facade.
Timber framed. Buff brick to ground floor, first floor weatherboarded. Plain
tile roof. 2 storeys on rendered plinth. Steeply-pitched roof, hipped to
left with gablet, gabled to right. Projecting brick gable end stacks with
rendered bases. Irregular fenestration of 2 small 2-light wooden casements.
Two half-glazed doors with shallow bracketed gabled hoods towards centre.
House probably originally extended further to right. Interior not inspected.
Formerly known as"House at Boughton Quarries c. 120 yds. to the south east
of the last item on the south side of the road, occupier Doust".
