about 13 metres
east of chancel
of Church of All
Monument. c.1800. Stone. Pedestal with moulded plinth and cornice,
set on plain stone base, and surmounted by oval finial on a slightly
raised circular base. Inscription, on east side only, to John Gibbons,
d.1800; "Former master of the Free-School in Yalding. Went to Yalding
in 1748 and kept it 51 years".
