Public house at time of listing. Early C18, facade largely rebuilt (and left section possibly added) in circa 1901. Front elevation painted brick. Plain tile roof. Two storeys, attic and cellar, on painted brick plinth. Moulded string course. Moulded wooden eaves cornice of early C18 appearance. Gabled roof. Brick ridge stack towards left end, and projecting red and grey brick gable end stack to right. Three hipped two-light dormers of early C18 appearance, with moulded wooden cornices, between stacks. Irregular fenestration of five large, recessed early C20 casements; one three-light to left of stack, one two-light under stack, and three three-light to right. Four ground-floor windows with ovolo-moulded lintels and stained-glass top lights. Half-glazed door with top light and with ovolo-moulded lintel, up four steps with plain iron handrails, under left stack. Similar doorway up one step towards centre of section between stacks.

Interior: only partly inspected. Chamfered axial beam to right end ground-floor room.
