House, now house pair. C17 with C19 alterations. Timber framed. Exposed
framing with red brick infilling to left of ground floor, red and grey brick
in Flemish bond to right. First floor rendered. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys,
on ragstone plinth. Left section of ground floor framed in two panels to
storey, with herringbone top course to infilling. Half-hipped roof. Project-
ing brick stack to left gable end, multiple brick ridge stack towards left,
and projecting brick gable end stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 3
casements; one two-light to each end and one three-light towards centre.
Right ground-floor window has boarded shutter. Boarded door under stack, set
behind timber-framed porch which has ragstone base, brick infilling, turned
balusters in place of upper panel to front, rendered gable, plain tile roof,
and set of five steps rising to it from right. Boarded door to right end to
No. 2, with four steps rising to it from left. Rear lean-to. Interior not
inspected.
