Barn. Early C19, with early-to-mid C19 addition. Timber framed,
weatherboarded, with half-hipped plain tile roof. Red and grey brick
plinth, in English bond to east section, Flemish bond to west section.
3 early C19 timber-framed bays, built at right-angles to road, with a
further 4 bays added to west in early-to-mid C19. Midstreys to centre
of east section, and to third bay from west end. Full-height double
doors to north, lower doors to south. Semi-open lean-to or cattle
stalls to south side. Interior: long cut jowls to principal posts.
Short arch braces to tie-beams. Clasped-purlin roof with diminishing
principal rafters. Vertical queen struts to collars. Ridge piece.
Intermediate collars, with long braces to centre from rafters.
Intermediate wall-posts. Straight tension braces to each half bay above
and below midrail. West section similar to east, but with smaller-
scantling timber. Included for group value.
