House. C18. Timber framed, clad with beaded weatherboarding to front, plain
weatherboarding to sides. Plain tile roof. 2 timber-framed bays, formerly
with rear lean-to. 1 1/2 storeys. Brick plinth to front, stone plinth to rear.
Half-hipped mansard roof (with tile-hung half gables). Projecting red and
grey brick gable end stacks, that to right larger. Two flat-roofed three-
light dormers. Regular two-window front of wooden three-light casements.
Door with four panels slightly to right of centre. Former rear lean-to
built up to two storeys with weatherboarded ground floor, tile-hung first
floor and plain tile roof with two half-hipped rear gables. Single-storey
late C20 red and grey brick rear wing to right, in a similar style. Interior:
doors with two broad panels. Small leaded casement with sickle handle to
left gable of former lean-to. Blocked ground-floor fireplace to left, brick
fireplace in English bond with wooden bressumer to right. Large bread oven
to former rear lean-to. A relatively unusual, comparatively unaltered,
survival.
