BRENZETT
Barn circa 52 yards east of Brenzett Place

(Formerly listed as Barn circa 52 yards west of Brenzett Place)

GV II

Barn. Late C18. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond with corrugated
asbestos roof (formerly thatched). No plinth, but walls batter about
5 feet from ground. Half-hipped roof. 2 rows of ventilation slits
to each side above the batter. Blocked loading door beneath eaves in
left gable end. Central double doors. C19 brick lean-to to left of
entrance, formerly housing an engine. Interior: Roof of stammered butt
side purlins with collars, ridge-piece, and short raked queen-struts.
Brick dated BK1791 on outside wall of barn, within engine shed. Included
for group value.
