5/43 Brattle House

II

House. Second half of C17. Ground floor yellow-red brick, first floor
tile-hung. Plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan. 2 storeys on brick plinth
with moulded wood eaves cornice. Half-hipped roof. Central brick ridge
stack. Regular 3-window front of two 3-light and central 2-light casement.
Ground floor windows have segmental heads. Central door of 4 fielded panels
and 2 top lights under flat bracketted hood. Short mid C19 rear wing to right
and late C18 rear lean-to. Single storey addition to right with one glazing
bar sash. Interior not inspected.
