GV No.22 Old Tree-Cottage
II
House. Late C18 facade to possibly earlier C18 house. Red brick with
occasional grey headers in Flemish bond. Rear wall timber framed. Plain
tile roof. 2 storeys with cogged and dentillei brick eaves cornice. Gable
end stacks. Regular 2-window front of 2-light casements to first floor
and 3-light casements to ground floor, in altered openings. Central late
C20 gabled brick porch with C20 ribbed door. Late C20 brick addition to
left not included. Interior: exposed timbers of relatively small scantling.
Inglenook fireplace left with iron door to small salt niche. Listed for
group value.
