west of Becket's Barn
Farmhouse

Barn. First half of C18 with C19 and later alterations. Timber framed,
weatherboarded, on brick plinth, with hipped plain tile roof. Later canopy
off-centre to right. Interior: 8 bays, aisled front and rear, with midstrey
in fourth bay from right. Posts with long sharp jowls. Straight braces from
aisle ties to arcade plates. Arch braces to tie-beams and arcade plates.
Clasped purlin roof with non-reducing principal rafters and no queen-struts.
At least 2 partitions. Face-halved scarf joint in arcade plate.
