TR 13 NE NEWINGTON Frogholt

4/43 Frogholt House

GV II

House. C17 or earlier with C19 and C20 additions and alterations. Timber
framed. Ground floor galleted stone with brick dressings, first floor tile-
hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Main rangewith narrow cross-wing to
right. Continuous jetty to main range. Right wing with slightly more
prominent jetty and jettied eaves on brackets. Hipped roof to left. Wing
hipped to front. Multiple brick ridge stack to left of centre of main range
and brick stack to right side of wing. Irregular fenestration of five
2-light casements; four to main range and one to wing. Ribbed door with
3-light fanlight under open timber porch beneath stack. Long single-storey
galletted stone addition to right gable end, with stable door. Various
rear additions. Interior not inspected.
