3/77 Stream Cottage and
Grove Bridge Cottage

House, now house row. C17 or earlier, with later C17 addition to left and C19
facade. Timber framed. Ground floor clad with red brick in Flemish bond
(painted to Stream Cottage). Ground floor of right gable end and left
addition stone. First floor tile-hung. Ogee tension braces to first floor of
loft gable end. Plain tile roof. Main range, with narrow addition to left.
2 storeys. Low rendered plinth to left. Higher stone plinth to right of stack.
Right gable end formerly jettied. Hipped roof to left and right, with lower
ridge to left addition, and main roof hipped down to it. Gablets to main range.
Small brick stack to centre of left addition. Multiple brick ridge stack to
right of centre of main range. Irregular fenestration of 4 casements to main
range (two 3-light, two 2-light) and none to addition. Half-glazed door to
Stream Cottage towards left end of main range and panelled door with 2 top
lights under right stack to Grove Bridge Cottage, both with wooden porches.
Short rear wing to right and rear lean-to. Interior not inspected.
