TR 14 SW STOWTING

1/115 Thornby Farm House

II

Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19, with mid C20 addition to right. Red brick
in Flemish bond to front, English bond to left gable end. Plain tile roof.
Double depth. 2 storeys on rendered plinth. Hipped roof, hips returning.
3 rear hips. Brick stack to former gable end to right and small rear stack
to left. Irregular fenestration of four recessed 16-pane sashes, regular
3-window front to main range and single sash to addition. Painted splayed
rubbed brick voussoirs to ground floor windows. Half-glazed door to centre
of main range, with flat hood on paired Ionic modillions. Interior not
inspected.
