2/1 1-2 Holywell Cottages

GV II

House, now cottage pair. C16 and circa 1700. Timber framed and
plastered, and structural red and blue chequered brick to front, with
plain tiled roofs, Two parallel ranges, the front c.1700, the rear
C16 continuously jettied. Front: Two storeys on plinth with plat
band and wood dentil cornice, with stacks left and right, and double
return hips of rear wing showing over roof ridge. Irregular fenestra-
tion of 1 tripartite sash, 1 wood casement, and 1 stair light on
first floor, and 2 tripartite sash with boarded and glazed central door
on ground floor.
