II

Parish Church. 1865. By Edward Welby Pugin for Lord Kingsdown. Ragstone with
patterned polychrome tile roofs. Chancel, nave and south-west tower
incorporating porch and vestry to north. Tower with angle buttresses and
crocketted broach spire. Geometric traceried windows. Interior: scissor-
braced, hammerbeam variant nave roof on demi-angels; hollow chamfered and
keel moulded chancel arch on detached marble shafts. Inlaid waggon roof to
chancel. Carved tympanum to vestry door. Full set of contemporary
fittings; stone reading desk, octagonal font,pews, altar rail, choir benches,
arcaded reredos, and complete set of stained glass, c.1867.
