GV II

Public house. C16, clad early C19. Timber framed and faced with
channelled render, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with
moulded plat band and roof hipped with gablet to left, with double
segmental and pedimented gable at right, with stacks to end right and
clustered to left. Three 3 light iron casement windows on first floor,
3 mullioned and transomed 3 light iron casements on ground. Half-glazed
door to right with heavy cornice on consoles. Rear range: mid C19
weather boarded and slate roofed range. Two storeys, with external
stair on left return to first floor boarded door. Wood and glass louvred
skylight and rear stack. Possibly originally a ballroom. Interior:
frame partly visible.
