TR 25 NE PRESTON WALMESTONE

House. Late C16. Red brick in English bond, rendered to entrance elevation.
Plain tiled roof. L-shaped plan. Entrance front: two storeys on plinth
with hipped roof and projecting hipped wing to right. Stack cluster to
right, and C19 stack to left. Two storey hipped entrance porch on left
return of projecting wing, with glazing bar sash on first floor in chamfered
surround with label hood. C20 rib and stud door in chamfered arched surround.
Irregular fenestration of wooden casements and glazing bar sash.
Rear elevation: 2 storeys and attic on high plinth, with projecting and
offset section to right. Hipped roof with 2 hipped dormers and stack to
right and rear left. Irregular fenestration of wooden casements and glazing
bar sashes, in 3 original chamfered surrounds with labels on first floor
(that at end right, although now bricked in retains the original wooden
mullions). One wooden casement with label-drip surround to left on ground
floor, and segmental headed glazing bar sash. Boarded door to right.
Tiled outshot at end right.
