House. Early C19. Painted brick and slate roof. Two storeys on plinth with
plat band and hipped roof with 2 stacksto left and 1 to right. Regular
fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes with cambered heads on first floor, and
2 tripartite glazing bar sahses on ground floor and central blocked segmentally
headed opening. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels on right return with
cornice on Doric pilasters. Built on the site of the mansion house of the
Palmer family a notable Kent family and that on the site itself of the house
of the provosts of Wingham College.
