Chain cottages

GV II

Cottage pair. Early and late C18. Red brick and flint, extended with
tile-hung wing, with plain tiled roof. No. 1, to right, with 2 storeys on
flint plinth, with brick corbelled eaves to cornice to roof with stack to
end right. Two sashes on each floor, with central wooden casement in
blocked doorway. Present entry to right return in buff brick and slate
roofed outshot. No. 2 to left is a taller 2 storey tile hung structure,
with stacks at end left and end right. One glazing bar sash on each floor
with board door to right.
