Range of early C19 houses built of white brick, but No 187 cemented. 3 storeys
and basement, originally with areas but in some instances shop fronts have
been built out in the place of these. 2 windows each. Nos 175 to 183
have a parapet, in the case of Nos 175 and 177 above their second floor and
in the case of Nos 179 to 183 above their first floor with dormers above
and mansarded slate roof. The remainder have a projecting eaves cornice and
slate roof. Most glazing bars intact above ground floor. All the houses
except Nos 183, 185 and 189 have modern shop fronts built out in front of
them. These 3 and No 179 have round-headed doorways with semi-circular
fanlights, Nos 179 and 183 also with pilasters flanking the doorways.
