east of Roydon Hall

Wall with turrets. Probably 1535. 30 yards long at highest level of garden terrace. It seems
to have part of the original outworks that surrounded the building. Red brick
laid in English bond. 2-storey north and south turrets, both octagonal with
brick parapets and upper string-courses. South with square clock-face, one
handed, dated 1764, is the stair turret for lower but wider turret adjoining
to south-west. 1 storey gabled wing to rear with 2 octagonal brick stacks.
2 casement windows in south-west face. The wall itself has 8 original bee-
bolts in east side.
