Wall C19 of narrow entrance neck to kitchen garden. C19 Rubble stone with 5
piers down each side. Corner piers to east topped by pedestals supporting
globes. East wall with balustraded parapet. Central ashlar gate with moulded arch, reputed to have come from the Auvergne region of France, an example of provincial Rococo of Cl750. String-courses at capital level. Central scroll-
work cartouche above arch. Panelled pilasters to either side swelling at
their foot. Volutes flanking pilasters at string level.
