Lomas headstone approximately 8 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Mary

Headstone. Late C18 in memory of Mary Lomas. Sandstone. Upright slab standing approximately 1 metre high. Its shaped head is carved in low relief featuring a winged cherub's head under the sun breaking through a cloud and flanked by scrolls. Inscription flanked by twisted strips opens with italic lettering followed by Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. It records the death of Mary Lomas but the date of her death is illegible. It also records the death of her husband Richard in 1767.
