Drinking fountain and enclosing railings. 1887, commemorating Queen
Victoria's Jubilee. Portland stone and granite; cast iron railings. Gothic
Plan: A gabled stone structure on a battered, coped stone base. The fountain
is in a trefoil-headed niche with a date of 1887 in a quatrefoil above and
"The Jubilee of Queen Victoria" lettered round the outside of the niche. The
fountain has a pink polished granite bowl and back and a spout mechanism (not
in working order) with cast letters reading "J. Tylor and Sons Ltd, 2 Newgate
St., London". Short sections of contemporary cast iron railings to either
side and enclosing the rear have cylindrical verticals and elongated fleur de
