An C18 timber-framed building. L-shaped. Two storeys and attics weatherboarded though part of the ground floor has exposed timber-framing with brick infill. Half-hipped tiled roof with one central brick stack. Three casement windows. Hipped tiled porch.

Robinia Cottage (and "Purfields", Ox Lane) form a group with The Fat Ox Public House
