Probably a C15 to C16 timber-framed building re-fronted in red brick in C18.
Two storeys. Hipped tiled roof with smoke louvres and 2 brick chimney stacks.
Three casement windows with round-headed lights, known locally as Dering windows
because they were inserted in all the cottages and farms belonging to the estate
of Surrenden Dering in the Parish of Pluckley, probably by Sir Edward Cholmeley
Dering, 8th Baronet (1807-96), who owned the estate from 1811-1896.
