Description

1.
5272 HOTHFIELD COACH DRIVE
Home Farm Cottage
TQ 94 SE 15/12
II
2.
Circa 1800. One storey and attics white brick. The centre window bay projects
and has a horizontally-sliding sash window with a curved head, over which the
roof curves like an 'eyebrow' of a thatched roof. Bracket eaves cornice on
each side of this. Hipped slate roof. Two pointed casement windows on ground
floor. Round-headed doorcase with semi-circular tympanum. The left side has
a later 2 storey extension in matching style. This was originally a lodge
to Hothfield Place before the erection of the late C19 lodge on the other side
of the road. It is similar in style to The Paddocks (qv) and is obviously
by the same hand.
