C15 timber-framed building with plaster infilling, the first floor of the end window
bays originally oversailing but now underbuilt in brick, painted. The eaves
between overhang on curved braces. Nearly central bay on ground and first
floors containing windows of tiers of 6 lights, with wooden mullions and transoms,
with a cove beneath the first floor window and a gable over containing an attic
window. Steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. Casement windows. Modern porch.
To the west is another doorway with a gabled hood over, as if the building
had at one time been 2 cottages. Painted brick chimney breast on the south-east
wall. The ground floor of the south-west front has been rebuilt in stone rubble.
This is a good example of a C15 Wealden hall-house.
