3/17 Barn 20 yards
south of Nine


Aisled barn, converted in past to cottage, now garage. C16. Timber
frame, rubble and brick plinth, plain tile hipped roof. Exposed
close studding and curved tension bracing. Hipped mid-strey. Interior:
4 bays with aisles, internal C20 brick divisions, renewed roof.
Igglesdon describes it as the gardener's cottage, previously a
private chapel. (Igglesdon, XXI, 1927).
