TR 03 NE SMEETH LILY VALE

House. Late C17 clad late C18. Timber framed and clad with red and
blue brick with plain tiled roof. Lobby entry plan. Two storeys on
plinth (the base of which is ragstone) with later C18 brickwork to
1st floor (originally tile hung), with dogtooth cornice to hipped
roof, with suggestion of gablet to right, and stacks to centre right
and to rear left. Three 3 light wooden casements and 2 light casement
to centre right on 1st floor, and 1 three basket arched 3 light
casements on ground floor. Door of 4 panels to centre right with
glazed top and with flat hood on brackets. Blocked basement opening
on left return. Catslide outshot to rear, with projecting bakehouse.
Interior: stop-chamfered cross beamed ceiling, studded partition
walls. Inglenook with ovolo moulded bressumer. A traditional 3
cell and five bay plan, possibly fully framed originally.
