SD 48 67 BOLTON-LE-SANDS THE NOOK

House, '1701 IBE' on lintel. Slobbered rubble with sandstone dressings
and slate roof. 2-unit central entry plan with gable stacks. 2 storeys
with attics. Continuous drip now interrupted by later plain stone
surrounds, one on each side of the door, both sashed with glazing bars.
1st floor has 3 rebated and chamfered mullioned windows under a continuous
drip course, with one of 3 lights on each side of a central one of 2 lights.
Moulding of door jambs continues around shaped lintel. Hardwood door with
3 raised and fielded panels, with vertical planks on inner face. Left-hand
(east) gable has a one-light chamfered attic window. Right-hand gable has
a one-light chamfered window on the 1st floor with a similar window to the
attic now blocked. Gable has copings with kneelers. Rear wing has mullioned
windows with chamfered, and rebated and chamfered, surrounds in the east wall.
