II
Former malt kiln, possibly early C19. Roughly squared sandstone with slate roof. Now one storey, formerly two. South-east end converted to form part of adjoining house, having openings with plain reveals. North-east wall has wide entrance with plain reveals. To its right is a one-light roughly chamfered window, with a tall window with plain reveals to the former first floor above. Further right are two chamfered window surrounds of C18 type with central mullions missing on each floor. The north-west gable wall has a modern window with plain reveals. The south-west wall, visible from the road, has modern windows with plain reveals at the left-hand end, a two-light chamfered mullioned window of C18 type on each floor in the centre, and a chamfered surround with mullion removed on the first floor at the right-hand end. At the far right are windows to the modern house, with plain reveals. Inside are five softwood trusses. Buildings adjoining at right-angles to the south-east end of the former kiln are now converted into a house and heavily altered.
