4/48 Entrance Gates and Two Archways to
Capernwray Hall, adjoining Borwick Lodge

Gateway and gates, mid c19th. Snecked sandstone rubble with sandstone
dressings and wrought iron gates. Wide moulded archway with 2-centred head
and hood mould. Coping of flanking walls, of triangular section, is stepped
above the arch, with a carved coat of arms at the apex under a triangular
head. Gates of decorative wrought iron work. Pedestrian gateway to the
right has moulded surround with shouldered arch.
