4/50 Beck House Farmhouse

II

House. Early c19th. Rendered rubble with slate roof. Symmetrical with
gable stacks and chamfered quoins. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays. Windows
all double sashes with glazing bars, separated by square stone mullions
and with plain stone surrounds, except for the window over the door which
is a single sash. Door has moulded architrave and cyma moulded cornice
hood. Rear wing has C17th rebated and chamfered window surrounds, possibly
re-used. Its east wall has a tall stair window with small panes and plain
reveals, and a blocked doorway with the cyma moulding of the jambs continued
around a shaped lintel '1681 RB'.
