16/80 Sundial, about 4 metres south-
east of Church Porch of the Church of
Sundial, 1635. Brass, on late C19th sandstone base. Inscribed 'For Saint
Wilfrite Church at Halton 1635' and 'Perevunt et Imputantur'. The gnomon is
broken. The base, of 3 shaped pieces, appears to be of re-used stone. The
sundial once stood on part of the Anglo-Saxon cross shaft and was moved to
its present position in 1891.
