16/84 Archway to former Halton Hall


Gateway, late C18th. Sandstone ashlar with chamfered rustication. Lintel
treated as a false flat arch, with chamfered voussoirs and keystone. Above
the keystone is a re-set corbel with a carved face, possibly from the Church,
which was re-built in 1792.
