9/99 Halton Road Bridge (No. 108)


Bridge over the Lancaster Canal, opened in 1797. Large dressed gritstone
blocks. Alternate blocked voussoirs enclosed by string course. Another
string course below the solid parapet, which has a rounded coping. Part
of this bridge is in the former Lancaster M.B., q.v.
